Drop off and collection :

At the beginnng and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school - we want to have good links with all parents.

If normal arrnagements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know by contacting the school office.  This avoids any confusion or upset. Teachers will not see Dojo messages during the day so please make any contact through the office.

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option.  There are many benefits : it's healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations.

We have bike racks and scooter pods for the safe keeping of your children's belongings but recommend that they bring an appropriate lock to keep them secure.

If you do need to travel by car, please park considerately.

Children walking home alone

Children in Year 4 upwards are allowed to walk home alone.  However, they will only be allowed to do so, if we have received written permission from their parent or carer.

If we are concerned about the safety or behaviour of pupils walking to and from school alone, we will request that parents accompany their child.

We will not allow children to leave the school premises with an older sibling unless they are over the age of 16.
